The Copernetic Citizens spaceship finally arrives on Earth after a long and exhausting journey from a far galaxy.
The team managed to escape from a nightmare that lasted too long. They were citizens of a beautiful planet. They lived in oceans, clouds, forests; levitating across mountains and valleys. They lived in respect and peace between species.
One day, there was a shift and the behaviour of some people started to change. People began to act weirdly and broke the planetary harmony. First traces of violence appeared and were used to define new concepts such as property and capital. More and more people became intoxicated by this new virus and the population was divided into two categories: dominants and dominated. Resources became first unfree, then very limited.
A resistance movement began in underground parts of the forest and water system, trying to understand: what had happened to these people ? They discovered a mysterious modulated signal. They could not find any way to jam it, so they put together a team to visit a harmful planet, where the signal was most likely to have started. They managed to steal the Copernetic Citizen spaceship at the cost of several lives...
The objective of the expedition was to first visit the planet, explore it, then to locate the signal and find a way to stop it.
When they finally arrived on Earth they explored the different environments, the jungles, the oceans, the seas, the forests, the mountains, the cities. They were surprised to discover how beautiful the Earth actually was.
They ended up locating a huge antenna, far from everything, where no human tracks could be found. The machinery was very different from their own, and they did not know how to turn off the engine. Instead,
they used the technology they knew and the music from their planet to make a new signal. They created an immense canopy of trees, plants and all the organic elements they could find and organised a huge rave
in the forest. The air was alive with a trancey hymn of deep forest music. Thanks to this celebration, the new signal reached other planets.
Hope is in art, hope in music, hope is in the Earth, hope is in the air, hope is the People, hope is in difference, hope is everywhere.
This EP is the original soundscape of the Copernetic Citizen travel, their exploration and their discovery of Earth.
